Site QuestionsWhere are all the wenches?!How in the world did you come up your site's name? Can I link to you? What does that little "link free" button on the main page mean? Well, my site doesn't have any "wenches" in *that* sense of the word.According to Dictionary.com: wench - n.
Wench is also a term used a lot in conjunction with medieval women, with gals that go to Renaissance Fairs, and in conjunction with pirates, too. Some people like to use it as a slightly more polite version of "bitch". I don't think that any of those definitions are in any dictionary, per se, but they're definitely in common usage. Yes, "wench" is sometimes associated with lustiness and pornography, but there are many other meanings and shades of meanings. No mentions of "wench" on this site are meant to be associated with the term "prostitute" or in conjunction with porn. My wenches are female pirates, serving wenches, medieval ladies, and the like. Yes, *that's* what I mean by wenches. Don't like it? Keep surfing then!
How in the world did you come up your site's name?It was pretty much what I like to think of as a happy accident. When I first sat down to design my website in 1999, I didn't have a site title in mind. As a temporary page header, I typed in the first thing that came to mind - Katarina's Page O' Wenches and Stuff. I wound up liking it a lot, so my site's been stuck with that cumbersome and rather silly name ever since!
Can I link to you?If you run a non-pornographic site, you sure can ^_^ If you want to use a banner, there are many to choose from. If you wish to use a banner, please upload it to your own server and link to the main page at http://www.silabub.com/katarina/ Please only link to the main page as I may rename and reorganize things from time to time. Also, this server is case sensitive, so make sure that your link is all lower case or it won't work. Thanks ^_^
What does that little "link free" button on the main page mean?It means that this site is link free. In other words, if you run a non-pornographic site, you're free to link to this site if you want to. You don't have to ask me for permission ^_^ See "Can I link to you?" for more details.
Why do you keep saying you don't want porn sites linking to you?In the past, I've had many problems with porn sites linking to me, either because I have the word "wench" in my site's title and they mistook my site for a porn site or because the owner didn't think I'd be offended by them linking to me. To make a somewhat long story short, I got sick of finding these links and having to contact the often surly owners about having my link removed. It's not that I'm a total prude, despite allegations to the contrary - I'd just rather not have my art associated with pornography. It also wreaks havoc with the site's bandwidth. If you happen to run a porn site and like my art, that's fine; please try to respect my wishes and don't link to me. It's not anything personal - I'd just rather not have my relatives find my site that way. Thanks.

How long has this site been around?This site has been around, in one form or another, since August of 1999. It was first located at Skunked.com, then moved a couple of months later to FurNation.com. When FurNation was having frequent downtimes, Kylen offered to host my site on Silabub.com where it is now located.
What do you make your page with?I recently started using Frontpage 2003 to edit my site. In the past, I mostly used Netscape Composer and Windows Notepad. Graphics are made in Paint Shop Pro 5 and/or Photoshop 5.5.
Will you post my artwork on your site?At this point in time, no I will not. This site's purpose is to showcase my own artwork.For gift artwork, please see this section. As for artwork that is not gift artwork, I won't post the random artwork of a complete stranger on my site. I don't have the time or the bandwidth for that. You're better off setting up your own site or joining one of the plethora of online archives.
Will you post my story on your site?No. The only written works that I put up on this site are my own feeble attempts at writing. If you want to put up your own writing, I suggest that you set up your own website or place it on an archive, such as Fanfiction.net. It's for the best that way. Really.
Will you help me with my website?If you're a good friend of mine, I'd be glad to help you out with design problems and/or graphics when I get a chance. If you're a complete stranger, probably not.
