Howdy everyone. I should be working on my history project. But I'm too lazy. I've been working on this picture of a rover skater girl on and off for awhile- it still needs much work (such as shading, fixing many glitches, etc) but before I did much else, I wanted to get some feedback ^_^ if it doesn't work: http://www.angelfire.com/ca3/Maxx29/mschfngtfixed.txt My boyfriend fixed the sk8board and the independent truck company sign on the girl's belt... so many thanks to him helping with my sk8board retardedness. oh! and, contrary to popular(?) belief, this is not based off of me >_O. I'm what most call a "prep", unlike this rover sk8er chick. Anyway. Enough babbling for me! Feedback is so welcome- I'm trying to improve! ------------------ [This message has been edited by Maxx (edited 10-15-2002).] IP: 172.149.37.178 |

what popped out at me first is that her right foot is level with the skateboard. You should put it lower than the skateboard since she's stepping UP onto the skateboard with the other foot. Her right foot seems to be floating. Work on her hands. Hands are scary because they are weird to draw, but if you work on sketching your own hands you'll improve immensely. I'm not sure what that thing is i'm guessing an egg. If she's tossing it into the air, and planning to catch it again try this. Have her fingers curl a bit to anticipate the "catch". With her hand straight out that egg is gonna bounce right off of it, and fall onto the floor. When you get to the shading don't forget to do the wrinkles in her clothes so they actually come across as wrinkles and not deformaties of bone structure. Maybe you can have someone wear a baggy shirt and you can observe the wrinkles there in? Nice piece though, it reminds me of (I can't spell her name for the life of me)'s song "Skater Boy" I could see your girl singin that. Hope this helps! IP: 64.164.38.229 |
