Okay so I did This Original piece and I didn't like the "finished" product so i decided to go back into it and rework the piece to add texture. Some of the hair detail got lost in the file conversion I am afraid, but anyway. I came up with This. I know for a fact that the face needs reworking still but I do not know what to do with it. Feedback and critiqueing is very much appreciated.

Thank You.

The whole composition has changed...not to figure out how to do stone texture w/out making it look manufactured. Once again, crits are welcome.

I'm not very good at critiquing buuut..
You could try adding some shading to the wings, it'll make it stand out a litte more. I love the color and effects used on her clothing and sky... looks like authentic paint. How bout a little darker shading around her eyes to give'em that inset/reccessed look(more 3D'ish). Just expirement with different shading, colors, and stuff... If you use photoshop 4 or better and you want to make the stone look unique... create a new layer above the stone and go to filters/Render/ Difference clouds. then adjust the opacity of that layer. It will give it extra texture and depth.

judging from your piece you did not attempt to do a structural framework under your character. Study more anatomy, and draw clothes last...figure first.

The background is a blue sky I think right c.c not trying to be an ass but i'm just guessing. Try to make the clouds more than just white wispy things. They've got color and form even though their made out of air and water particles and such.

*nods* I agree. I need more work on my anatomy. Thank you both for your input. I also think I need to do something more with the wings to make them appear more drawn on the wall behind her. I need to still fix the wall behind her to make it look better and more what I want. I've been trying a bunch of new things and doing a lot of learning with this piece. Once more thank you both for the feedback.

try to make the wings look more organic instead of geometrical. The straight lines indicating the feathers make the wings seem harsh.
