All right. You all remember the criticism rule we have in the art forums? It goes the same for the writing forums. The rule is: If the person does not specifically state that they want criticism for their writing/artwork don't give it to them. When they do ask for criticism it needs to be CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. In otherwords, don't outright tell a person that you think their work is crap. Instead just point out what you find wrong with the piece and ways they might improve upon it. Also let them know what they are doing right with their story.
Writers: When you ask for criticism you need to take it. If they critic is really doing their part then it is very likely to help you out. You don't have to do everything the Critic says but you do need to listen to what is being said and think about. Maybe even try out the advice. Who knows it might actually make your work better.

Bottom line: Don't give criticism unless asked for. Be constructive with the criticism and try to help the writer asking for help. Accept the criticism when it is given to you. Don't start name calling matches.
